Sometimes we need to reboot our mental thinking in order to be more effective in our personal and professional lives. Hiring a career coach allows a "big picture" view of your strengths and weaknesses in order to fully assess your current barriers to career and life success. As a career coach, I work with you to develop a plan to overcome your obstacles, work on the specific skills you need, and begin implementing actionable steps immediately.
How is my program different than other career coaches?
Unlike many other career coaches who state they are licensed in the field, I hold a Masters of Counseling and a Doctorate of Interdisciplinary Leadership. I am able to incorporate evidence-based theory into practical application. Also, I believe in a solution-focused approach to ensure your time as a busy working professional, student, spouse, parent, caregiver, etc, is not taken for granted and used to maximize time in other areas by reducing stress and increased decision-making.
How much does it cost?
- Career Counseling
You will find that many other counselors will charge you per hour of time, upwards of $150-200. True career coaching is a process of personal development and takes time and energy beyond an "hour" of time. Thus, I use a flat weekly rate that includes phone calls, emails, structured development activities, and external resources to provide you with a wealth of support as you master your new skills. As well, some counselors sell it as a package deal. However, every client has different needs and may need shorter or longer amount of time. This is why a weekly charge of $100 and will be available for as long as you need.
- Resume & Cover Letter Editing
Some people only need to readjust their thinking on their new current venture and need help in transitioning their old set of technical skills into a new job. To help you articulate your goals and unique attributes, I offer a week of resume and cover letter edits, updates, and overhauls. Depending on your needs the price ranges from $75-100. Along with that, as part of many hiring committees, I will also do one-on-one interview practices to hone your skills in articulating your current strength
